ABOUT US
Our Clinic

Our mission at Nguyen Wellness + Recovery is to empower you to take charge of your health and naturally support your body's own self-healing abilities through the use of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Our approach is holistic and individualized, because the mind, body and spirit are not separate, and every person has a unique pattern of symptoms that require an individual response.
Nguyen (pronounced "win") Wellness + Recovery was founded by husband and wife team, Henry & Meredith Nguyen. We have seen firsthand the power of acupuncture and TCM in treating everything from Bell's palsy and infertility to stubborn aches & pains and hormonal imbalances. We are pleased to offer Express Acupuncture on an as-needed basis. This allows patients to pop in for quick, affordable treatments, while still getting the same high-quality, balancing acupuncture you would get from a full session.
Our clinic also offers massage therapy, LED light therapy, and an infrared sauna, which can be booked for a stand-alone session or after your acupuncture treatment. Learn more about the benefits of the infrared sauna here.

Our treatment rooms reflect the 5 Elements in traditional Chinese medicine. Click here to see the rooms and learn more about how each element influences your health and energy.

Our Treatments
We take a holistic, individualized approach with every patient, utilizing the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) to not only address your presenting symptoms, but the root cause(s) of your issues. We believe health care should always be a team effort between you and your practitioners - with YOU at the helm - and we are here to offer support and guidance as we work together to get your health back on track.

Unlike many spas and clinics, we won't charge extra for including additional TCM modalities (like cupping or gua sha) into your acupuncture treatment, if it is necessary for your healing. Only customized herbal medicine, supplements, LED light therapy, or use of the infrared sauna will incur an additional charge (and are always optional).

Aromatherapy and tea are included with every treatment.

Our Practitioners
Henry Nguyen, L.Ac

SPECIALIZING IN: Pain Management, Neuropathy, Bell's Palsy, Injury Recovery, Athletic Performance Enhancement, Men's Health
Henry Nguyen, L.Ac is a licensed acupuncturist and herbalist through the Texas Medical Board, with a Master's degree in Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine from Texas Health and Science University in Austin, Texas. He is also a nationally-certified Diplomate of Oriental Medicine through the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).

It was Henry's family that first inspired him to become an acupuncturist. Growing up in Vietnam, he witnessed his mom successfully treat many family members and friends through the use of alternative medicine, which sparked his interest early-on. Rather than pharmaceuticals, cupping and herbs were more commonly used to treat the family's seasonal colds or flu, and Henry quickly learned the value of these incredibly effective, ancient practices.

Henry's passion for health and wellness, and his family's holistic medicine influence, ultimately led him to pursue a career in acupuncture & Chinese medicine, and he loves being able to help others find relief and healing, naturally.

When he’s not working, Henry can typically be found shooting hoops or jumping in on a pick-up game of football. He also enjoys exploring the many delicious vegetarian restaurants across Houston with Meredith and their 2-year-old son (who is quite the foodie himself).

Her overall health and energy levels improved dramatically, and her chronic allergies and headaches disappeared. Once back in the States, she decided to enroll in acupuncture school (where she also eventually met her future hubby).
